Our Natural Ingredients for fabrics
Sourcing fibres that are only produced by nature is one of the most important aspects of Indee Soul. Staying true to our 100% plastic free approach, we do not work with synthetics or man-made fibres. Moreover, natural fibres are a healthier choice due to their breathability. They keep you cool in summers and naturally insulating in winters. As natural fibres are renewable resource, they are THE sustainable choice, due to the fact that they are 100% biodegradable at the end of their lifecycle.
So far, we have only worked with pesticide-free and hand-spun cotton, muslin, linen and silk. But we’re just getting started! As we learn further, we will surely but slowly increase our collaboration with artisans that specialise in their skills using other earth-friendly ingredients.
HAND-SPUN COTTON AND SOFT MUSLIN
Our Cotton fabrics are made out of hand-spun yarn. They are much less stressed and damaged. They allow more air penetration than the machine spun yarn, making it cooler, softer and more absorbent. We also use muslin made from 100% authentic Indian cotton. The muslin weaves are more loose than the ones of standard cotton products. They are softer textured and typically lightweight. They are also very durable and get even better with age.
PURE LINEN
Linen provides you with comfort in many ways. Linen is a natural insulator which means that linen keeps you cool and fresh in summer and doesn’t release heat from your body in winter when it is colder. Linen is a natural antiseptic and perfect for those with sensitive skin.
